To swim with the Gruppo Pesce Roma, you are required to fill in application form and obtain a certificate from your doctor stating that you can practise sporting activities 'for non competitive purposes'; you should then hand-in both papers to the Secretary (see 'The Group'), together with the membership fee.
Training is suitable for swimmers of all levels from beginner to 'master' and it is divided into two groups:
Gruppo Pesce (beginner to intermediate)
Gruppo Pesce Master (intermediate to advanced).
The level of each swimmer will be determined by the coach after the first swimming session.
In terms of numbers, the average number of swimmers per session is 25-30 people. |

The membership fee for the Gruppo Pesce Roma is 60 Euro and is valid for 12 months from January to December.
The FIN membership for the Gruppo Pesce Master swimmers is 20 Euro and does not include the cost of the sports' doctor certificate (35 Euros at the least).
The Swimming Pools prices
As previously stated, the cost of the swimming pool is not included in the 50 Euros fee paid to the Gruppo Pesce Roma.
Please see
Training to know informations about registration and the different options of subscription.
Membership enables you:
to take part in all training sessions in reserved lanes with qualified trainers, during the scheduled time(s);
to subscribe to the mailing list;
to participate in the General Assembly with the right to vote and to bid for one of the positions in the group;
to take part to all other social events organised by the group.
For those who are already members of the Gruppo Pesce Roma and would like to take part in competitions, it is possible to apply for a FIN card. FIN is the Italian federation for swimming. The FIN card is recognised by FINA - the International federation for swimming - and is required for participation in all international master swimming tournaments, including IGLA, GayGames, Outgames, EuroGames.
To this end, it is therefore necessary to obtain a certificate from a doctor specialised in sports' medicine stating that you can train for 'agonistic purposes'. The training will take place in specifically designated lanes for 'master' swimmers. |
